Tip: #1253 - Have Vim open a file in Visual Studio

Created: June 7, 2006 11:39 Complexity: basic Author: idvorkin--AT--gmail.com Version: 5.7 Karma: -8/21 Imported from: Tip#1253

I often use VIM as my editor and VS 2005 as my debugger. Using this ca I can tell VS to open the file I"m currently editting.

ca vsedit :!"c:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\Common7\ide\devenv.exe" /edit "%"

Comments

This one gets my vote for the most useless and trivial tip ever!

All the content there is is the hardcoded path.

A-ha, but how can you open the file in VS2005 at the same location you were editing in Vim? See VimTip580.
