Tip: #953 - Quickly access Ex commands on a Brazilian keyboard

Created: June 21, 2005 10:34 Complexity: basic Author: lpenz Version: 6.0 Karma: 8/5 Imported from: Tip#953

For those with a Brazillian ABNT2 keyboard, the line

nnoremap  :

shall provide a quicker access to ex mode at no cost.

You can map it to any other stuff, as VIM does not use '', as far as I can tell.

Just put it in your $HOME/.vimrc and have fun.

Comments

Not exactly on topic, but i noticed that, in help files, the commando to jump to another section is CTRL+ in Brazilian keyboards. I don't know why.
