DragonVale WikigamesDragonVale is a simulation video game created by Backflip Studios for the iOS and Android platforms which is currently published by DECA Games. It can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store or Google Play and played on the iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad or several Android devices. DragonVale was released in September 2011 and uses the freemium business model. Although the game is free to play, players can use their iTunes or Google Play accounts to make in-game purchases of game currency to help speed up the evolution of their dragon park. Players create a dragon theme park, with the objective of attracting virtual park visitors, and increasing their level in the game. This is accomplished by breeding, raising and caring for magical dragons and decorating your park by adding walkways, trees, decorations, buildings and dragon habitats. The number of visitors who visit the park is dependent on the type and level of dragons in your park and how well designed it is. The ultimate game challenge is to breed a variety of dragons and to design your park. _| NOTE |_ If struggling to navigate the wiki in mobile view, please scroll to the bottom of the page and tap on "View Full Site" to see if it is easier to read and find information. X-Men Movies WikimoviesThe X-Men film series consists of superhero films based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name. The films star an ensemble cast, focusing on Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, who is drawn into the conflict between Professor Xavier (Patrick Stewart & James McAvoy) and Magneto (Ian McKellen & Michael Fassbender), who have opposing views on humanity's relationship with mutants. Xavier believes humanity and mutants can coexist, but Magneto believes that mutants are destined to rule humanity. The films also developed subplots based on the comics' Weapon X and Dark Phoenix storylines. 20th Century Fox earned the film rights to the characters in 1994, and after numerous drafts, Bryan Singer was hired to direct X-Men (2000) and returned for X2 (2003). He left a potential third and fourth film to direct Superman Returns, leaving Brett Ratner to direct X-Men: The Last Stand (2006). Critics praised Singer's films for their dark, realistic tone, and subtexts dealing with discrimination and intolerance, but Ratner's film was met with mixed reviews. Nonetheless, each film outgrossed its predecessor, and Fox developed two separate prequel trilogies. The first focuses on the violent past of Wolverine and currently consists of X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009) and the upcoming stand-alone sequel The Wolverine (2013). The second trilogy focuses on the origins of the two teams: the X-Men and the Brotherhood of Mutants, launching with X-Men: First Class (2011) and set to continue with X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014). The X-Men films contributed to a reemergence of superhero films in the 2000s.

Divergent WikibooksVeronica Roth is the 23-year-old author of Divergent (Katherine Tegen Books, May 2011). Raised in a Chicago suburb, Roth studied creative writing at Northwestern University and penned Divergent while completing her studies. Insurgent, the second book in The Divergent Trilogy, came out on May 1st. Roth has been, since then, spending her time at book signings, traveling, browsing Wikipedia in her pajamas, wearing shoes as little as possible, and eating bland cereal. Roth's advice to young writers: "Want something else more than success. Success is a lovely thing, but your desire to say something, your worth, and your identity shouldn’t rely on it, because it’s not guaranteed and it’s not permanent and it’s not sufficient. So work hard, fall in love with the writing—the characters, the story, the words, the themes—and make sure that you are who you are regardless of your life circumstances. That way, when the good things come, they don’t warp you, and when the bad things hit you, you don’t fall apart.
