Willkommen, bienvenue, welcome, welkomEdit

Welcome to our wiki! We hope you can make continuing contributions of articles and/or discussion and other improvements.

If you are new to Wikia or wikis in general, be sure to visit the "Community portal" for an outline of some of the main parts of the site and a link to pages that tell you how to edit.

Do keep an eye on the "recent changes" page, where all edits and their authors (anonymous or signed-in) are listed. Bookmark it, maybe. (And help delete spam - unpleasant but a fact of life.)

Discussion of any aspect of the site, and enquiries, can be made at Talk:Main_Page or on the "discussion" page associated with each article. It helps if you sign and date your contributions there, so that readers know "who to talk to" and whether your message is probably still of current interest. If you write on a user's "talk" page, that user will get an alerting message on next visit.

(It would help some of us to know how you discovered this site.)

Wow, the founder cares. Nice to meet you :-) bastl 13:47, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Standard article skeletonEdit

When I recently went to go make a new page on our wiki, I got a popup asking me if I wanted to make a "standard page" or a "blank page" (or something like that). "WOW!", I thought, "We can set up a standard layout for all new pages?" I used the "standard" option to see what it does, and didn't like what I saw. It sets up a page with an image and a few sections, prompting for content in each place. On this wiki, images are scarce, and we put a template at the top of every tip (with a different template for proposed pages that have not yet been "approved"). We put a "Comments" section at the end of the page to encourage feedback. I think it would be great if we could automatically insert all this on page creation. Is the standard page skeleton customizeable at all? How?

The standard layout can be edited by an admin at MediaWiki:Newpagelayout. Angela@fandom (talk) 23:25, April 22, 2010 (UTC)
