Insert multiple lines | Kept as VimTip1661 |
Insert multiple lines[]
- Original title was Open Multiple Lines Above/Below and Drop Into Insert Mode
Keep, it's kind of a neat idea. It doesn't bug me enough to adopt in my own .vimrc though. --Fritzophrenic 02:24, May 28, 2011 (UTC)
- Keep. Should the original script be retained? I'm inclined to replace it with the code I put in the comments (after I check it a little more).
- Need to rename. What about "Open multiple lines"? There is no point in mentioning above/below or insert mode in the title. JohnBeckett 10:39, May 30, 2011 (UTC)
- I renamed it to Insert multiple lines and make Open multiple lines a redirect. "Insert" is more likely to be what people want to do. JohnBeckett 08:27, May 31, 2011 (UTC)
- I'm certainly not picky about which script is used as long as the final version works as intended. I'll probably never use the tip myself. I agree with the title change you did. --Fritzophrenic 20:10, May 31, 2011 (UTC)
